This costs the homeowers association a lot of money. As of now we pay 3 different companies to pick up trash in Wildwood. Our lawn mowing company charges us $50 a mow to pick up trash before thay mow over it. Associa On Call (our maintenance company) comes every 2 weeks and checks 9 dumpster areas (besides doing repairs) and cleans up the dumpster areas. Phil, our trash guy, picks up trash in all common areas on a regular basis. He charges us over $1000 a month. This comes to a total of about $1500 a month.
|
|
If appliances, furniture, etc. are not in the dumpster, then our city trash trucks will not pick it up. It is the homeowner association that has to remove it at a cost of $125. If we catch you putting items next to the dumpster, you will be charged.

This and That
Since Wildwood contracted with Geese Chasers the geese population in Wildwood is down. Our contract was for 2 months. Geese Chasers offered us another 3 months for $895 a month (a reduction on $200 a month). The Board agreed to it.
|
Next month will be the one year anniversary of Wildwood Word emailed publication. The Board would like to know what you think. Does it contain the information that you want? Are there things that should be in the newsletter? What do you think of the newletter? Send your responses to wwword@livinginwildwood.com
|
"Smile" signs have been put up around Wildwood. This is to inform you that you have to pick up and dispose of your dog's poop. Our observation video cameras are watching.
|
The underground water pipes in Wildwood are over 50 years old. This is why Wildwood has a rule "no parking on grass". The weight of vehicles could break underground pipes. The cost to fix them is the responsibility of the homeowners association. There have been several pipe breaks in the past that the homeowners association has had to pay for. The city of Indianapolis also has an ordinance that says you can't park on grass.

What's Going On in Wildwood...
- Officer Cox attended the meeting to provide the security report. Mostly quiet. Issues with parking and vehicle tagging are ongoing. Officers attempted to follow up after domestic on Chrysler, no answer to door (original issue was police call and arrest). Suspicious person report previous month has no longer been witnessed onsite. Truck parking near Coffman also no longer onsite. CO will speak with neighbors concerning issues with common areas and children.
- Once a year, usually in Spring, Ben from Associa On Call and Tim Lord walk through the community and look for all the repairs that need to take place. Currently Associa On Call come here every two weeks and work on the repairs. If they finish all the repairs on the list, then a second walk through is scheduled. Tim Lord took some pictures and showed them to the Board at our May meeting.
- When units are sold in Wildwood or foreclosed on, sometimes to much money is collected. When this happens, the Board reviews the accounts and money is sent back to the owner if found. Sometimes the owner does not leave a forwarding address and the money is kept.
- According to the Wildwood Court Board members, geese are getting under the fire department fence. Tim Lord contacted the fire department and asked if they could fix the fence.
- With Board approval, Dawn Warner purchased the "Smile" signs. They were put up around Wildwood common areas.
- The Board is currently looking for a new attorney. We reviewed different options and will decide soon who we want.
